Too Much But Never Enough

This piece felt like a spell I didn’t know I was casting—

just hands moving, tilting, tearing,

until it told me it was done.

My first time cutting holes into canvas,

and somehow they mirrored the way the world

has tried to carve holes in me.

This painting is about the tension of being:

too much, not enough,

growing roots in soil that never wanted you,

still choosing to bloom anyway.

There’s rage in this piece.

But there’s also becoming.
